FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gedanken announces RTE BASICS trainingSeptember 14, 1999 Gedanken, a real time computing company located in Saratoga, California at the Redwood Forest edge of Silicon Valley, today announced that it will offer the popular RTE BASICS training course the week of November 1, 1999. Hewlett-Packard introduced the first member of the long-lived HP/1000 product line in 1966 and continues to offer the latest generation of the long-lived systems in the current product line. Hewlett-Packard no longer offers training on these systems, but given their longevity, there are hundreds of thousands of these systems in operation around the world. RTE systems are used by industrial and military customers for a variety of computing tasks. The systems are incredibly reliable, with many of them performing quietly for the last 15 years or more. With a twinkle in his eye, one of the engineers at Gedanken stated: "We recommend to our customers that they reboot their systems at least once a year just to remain familiar with the process." Customer requests for training drove the realization that some of the systems are older than the system managers who are now charged with keeping them running! Gedanken has decided to offer training courses to assist the managers of these systems to keep them running in peak condition. The first scheduled course, "The RTE-A System Basics" will be presented November 1st - 5th in Saratoga, CA. There are a few openings left in this class. If you recognized yourself (or a friend) in this description, please view the course catalog or request a copy from Gedanken. For More Information Contact: |
