HP1000 A Series Products

Gedanken makes HP1000 A-series SCSI mass storage peripherals, optionally containing optical R/W drive and/or DDS tape drive.

ZIP1K Drive

Gedanken has two models of Zip1K drive available, the Model T (tabletop) and Model R (rackmount). Both models come standard with a 4GB hard drive and a 100MB removable Zip^tm drive.

This drive uses a IOMEGA ZIP drive to provide 100MB of removable mass storage for your RTE-A system. It can be used for backups, data exchange with other systems or to keep secure data under lock and key when not in use.

100mb capacity

	Supports native RTE file system
	Utility supplied to read and write the RTE file system on Windows^tm 95/98/NT 4.0
	Can be used as an RTE boot device
	Uses standard low cost Zip^tm drive removable cartridges

Hard Drive

Uses a 4.5GB SCSI hard drive, which can be used as a boot device.

MO (Optical) Drive

This drive uses a double sided MO cartridge (600mb per side) to provide 1200mb of removable mass storage for your RTE-A system. It can be used for backups, data exchange with other systems or to keep secure data under lock and key when not in use.

DDS Tape Drive

This tape drive uses standard DDS tapes to provide high capacity data backup and archival facilities for RTE-A.

	Works with standard RTE-A backup and restore utilities

	Requires A-series CPU running operating system revision 5.0 or greater
	Requires SCSI card firmware revision 921030 or greater.
	Boot requires VCP revision 4025 or greater
